Violet Township is at the center of it all. This is where families and businesses come to put down roots, grow and thrive. Located only twenty minutes from Columbus, we are in the center of opportunity in the I-70 and US 33 Corridors. Yet, we are far enough away to create an incredible sense of community. Here, neighbors greet neighbors, families meet up at our local parks and restaurants, and business owners know their customers. Just like our namesake, Violet is beautiful and graceful, yet strong and thriving. That’s what makes Violet so special and unique. We offer businesses and families the best of both worlds. Moving to Violet gives families the opportunity to live somewhere quiet and beautiful that still has an urbanized feel and is close to the big city.

We have an affluent and highly educated population with a median income of $100,000. This makes Violet Township an ideal place to launch or expand a business. We have a built-in customer-base of over 40,000 and are prepared for future growth. As a Township, we encourage entrepreneurism and work to help businesses of all sizes to grow and to thrive. For these reasons and many more, Violet Township is the right choice for your business opportunity.

Violet Township residents came together to help lead several task force and focus group meetings to identify the spatial and programming needs of a community center as well as potential funding options. The Township’s consultants, Moody Nolan, Inc. and Rockmill Financial Consulting, LLC, guided these groups through this process. The work from these committees was formed into a potential community center layout, prepared by Moody Nolan, with a recommended funding package from the Community Center Finance Committee.

On Feb. 6, Violet Township officials  moved forward with plans to seek a 4.6-mill levy this May that would support the construction and operations of a community center. The township filed paperwork with the Fairfield County Board of Elections by the deadline for items to be included on the May 7 primary election ballot. Officials are seeking a 25-year, 4.6-mill levy that would provide funds to build a $46 million community center and operate it for its first 25 years.

We have created a tax calculator that residents can utilize to estimate the increase in their monthly taxes, if the community center levy would pass.  Residents can search by address or owner name.  The calculator can be found at:
