Board of Trustees

Meet your Trustees!

The Violet Township Board of Trustees consists of a board of three elected Trustees. Each are elected to their positions for a term of four years on staggering cycles, and until their respective successors are duly elected and qualified. The term of the Trustees begins on the first day of January after the election. The theory of staggering terms of office is for the purpose of having at least two experienced township officials in offices at all times. The Trustees are elected to administer the affairs of township government as the representatives of the people and they hold their offices in trust for the people of the Township. The Trustees welcome residents to attend governmental meetings held on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. to keep residents abreast of current issues or to express concerns in an open, positive atmosphere.

I have had the pleasure of living in Violet Township for most of my life. I grew up, graduated, taught, coached, and raised my family here. My wife Lisa is a very successful local Realtor dedicated to serving our community. Lisa and all three of our sons have attended Pickerington Local Schools. Being personally and professionally vested in the township, I remain committed to listen to what others have to say and employ "best practices" to assure that we remain committed to make changes to always be the best possible Violet Township.

I believe working collaboratively with other local governmental entities is a logical benefit to both the incorporated and unincorporated areas of our community. I remain committed to fiscal responsibility, economic development, an open door policy, and strong regional partnerships.

I take the responsibilities bestowed upon me by the voting public of Violet Township very seriously, and am humbled by the public’s trust and support. I assure you that our Violet Township staff is dedicated to providing exceptional service to our growing community without losing touch with the people that make it great! Feel free to contact me if you ever have any concerns about how your township is serving your family, your neighborhood, or our community.

Elected Trustee in 2017 for term beginning January 1, 2018

Eric and I moved to Pickerington after Eric completed his service in the Air Force In 2007. Eric now works as an Engineer for the Defense Supply Center. He is also actively involved as a coach for PYAA and for Grace Fellowship. We have three children who attend PHSC, Ridgeview and Diley Middle School. After completing my Masters in Public Administration, I spent time working in fundraising for various nonprofits. I now own businesses in property management as well as business and wellness coaching. I was elected to Pickerington City Council in 2015 and then as Violet Township Trustee in 2017. Being an elected official has been one of my greatest joys as I have the opportunity to connect with members of the community as well as pursue my passion for city planning and development. I am currently on the Board for the Pickerington Area Resource Coalition which connects residents with services across the county. I am dedicated to finding solutions to human trafficking, refugee care and adoption and enjoy being part of organizations that are working in these areas.
