VIOLET TOWNSHIP ZONING COMMISSION
NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING
(Continuation from the May 20, 2025 public hearing)
The Violet Township Zoning Commission will hold a Special Meeting on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, located at 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington for the purposes of continuing the Public Hearing for and taking any action on Violet Township Zoning Amendment Case No. ZAMD-25-1, which is proposed as an amendment to the Violet Township Zoning Resolution and would if adopted, would repeal Section 3N the existing Planned Mixed Use Commercial District (PCD) and replace Section 3N with the Community Gathering Overlay District (CGPOD) – which includes purpose, establishment of the CGPOD District area and subareas; minimum tract size; procedure, process, requirements, and contents for an application for Development Plan; review process; permitted and prohibited uses; basis of approval; approval period; amendment of an approved Development Plan; provides for architectural design standards and exterior finish materials; and establishes minimum developments standards including but not limited to setbacks; building heights; landscaping and buffering and open spaces, parking; and provisions for divergences from the minimum development standards, etc. This Section will include definitions.
The text for this proposed amendment is available for examination Mondays through Fridays, excluding legal holidays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington. The person responsible for giving notice of this public hearing by publication is Kelly Sarko, Violet Township Zoning Inspector.
After the conclusion of the public hearing, the matter will be submitted to the Violet Township Board of Trustees for its action.
