VIOLET TOWNSHIP BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS

Notice of Public Hearing

 

The Violet Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Violet Township Administrative Offices located at 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington to consider the following: 

Case VAR-24-31: an application for variance filed by Charlie Griffey, Griffey Remodeling, 5730 Westbourne Avenue, Columbus for property located at 13767 Daysprings Way, Pickerington owned by Samuel and Joy Renee Cooper. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3A2-05 to allow the construction of a garage addition that is to be placed closer to the side property line than permitted.

Case VAR-25-1: an application for variance filed by Raymond Black for property located at 8723 Birch Brook Loop, Pickerington, owned by Raymond and Lara Black. Pursuant to Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3V3-01(E)(1) this application requests a variance from Section 3V3-01(C)(9) to allow a deck with a covering to be placed closer to the rear property line than permitted in the Winding Creek Planned Residential District. This application seeks to amend a previously approved variance, Case 09-VA-2012 approved in August 2012.

The continuation of Case VAR-24-30: an application for variance filed by Aaron Walters, 6245 Lithopolis Road, Carroll for property located at 13773 Nantucket Avenue, Pickerington owned by Steven Zehender, 13773 Nantucket Avenue. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3A2-09 and Section 3AA4-05(A)(5)(b) to allow the construction of a detached accessory building in the side yard adjacent to the side street and to allow an accessory building to be placed closer to the side street than permitted. 

These applications are available for examination from Thursday February 6, 2025 through Thursday, February 20, 2025 inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, excluding legal holidays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147. 

The person responsible for giving notice of this public hearing by publication is Kelly Sarko, Violet Township Zoning Inspector.
