Notice of Public Hearing
The Violet Township Board of Zoning Appeals will hold a Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at the Violet Township Administrative Offices located at 10190 Blacklick Eastern Road, Pickerington to consider the following:
The continuation of Case VAR-25-19: an application for variance filed by Reginald Ellis for property located at 11807 Kennington Sq. West, Pickerington owned by Reginald and Kimberly Ellis. This application requests a variance from the provisions of Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3B2-06 to allow the construction of a deck which is to be placed closer to the rear property line than permitted.
Case VAR-25-22: an application for variance filed by Ashton Thurneyssen, 5981 Optical Ct, San Jose, CA for property located at 9625 Waterloo Eastern Road, Canal Winchester owned by Michael and Christine Hecht. This application requests a variance from Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3F1-02(C)((1)(a) to allow a rooftop solar energy system to be located on the side of the home.
Case VAR-25-23: an application for variance filed by Kelly J McClellan, 8045 Pickerington Road, Canal Winchester, owned by Kelly McClellan and Lori Kelley. This application requests a variance from Violet Township Zoning Resolution Section 3F1-02(C)((1)(a) to allow a rooftop solar energy system to be located on the front roof of the home.
These applications are available for examination from Thursday, November 8, 2025 through Thursday, November 20 2025, inclusive, Mondays through Fridays, excluding legal holidays, during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Violet Township Administrative Offices, 10190 Blacklick-Eastern Road, Pickerington, Ohio 43147.
